From Rays of The Dawn! By Doctor Thurman Fleet. HOPE - November 29, 2010 Dr. Thurman Fleet There are two kinds of hope. One is hope in the eternal progression of life and all its goodness. The other is the perverted idea of life for material gain. The first is purely spiritual, born of a desire to serve the masses. The second seeks personal gain. In that instance, hope is largely centered in things that have only temporal value~and even in the gratification of desires and selfishness. Still the very nature of hope, especially its persistence, lends humanity a buoyancy that aids it from sinking into greater darkness and despair. For someone who lives on the plane of desire, hope must survive the person's dissatisfaction with repeated disappointment and failure~or satiation through gratification~until that soul is led, step by step, to see that the ultimate of all hope lies in purity, simplicity, and obedience to Nature.
