Part of the Story
I put this photo up a few months ago. Yesterday´s adventure - Dan got some of it on video. You can watch it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jS88SZb3Uk. It was Memorial Day. Danny was handling the grill. Because of a particular person here, it was suggested that I give Gordie a kiss. Since we were all outside, of course my wife decided to put on the sprinklers to maximize the mess and take playtime into mayhem time. These four, especially the little white one with the brown spots (named Kage, because he isn´t) went especially crazy. Toward the end of the clip on youtube, I´d decided to honor the request and give Gordie a kiss. He must have known because he was taking a shower. At the end, Danny missed the shot I really wanted - giving Gordie a kiss. I was down on the ground on the wet grass and in the mud. Dogs were pouncing all over me, and Gordie was pushing his way through the dogs. Meanwhile, the water kept spraying over all of us, and Danny wanted to protect the camera. Meanwhile, Gordie is an inch from my face and Dan is telling me how foolish I am. (Gordie could bite off a finger, and there I was with my lips against his face.) Maybe the shot I wanted would have worked if we´d put the dogs inside, and shut off the sprinklers. And these four were wanting to be a part of it, too - dancing on my back.
