Spring Has Sprung
With spring comes the melting of the snow and ice. The birds return. Trees turn green again, and the flowers begin to bloom. Parkas go back into the closets and the shorts come out of storage. For some of us it means something else. It’s when the tortoises rise! Yup, that’s right. Gordie the Social Tortie is out grazing every day again. Here he is having himself a gourmet lunch out on the lawn. According to the menu, it was “The finest Arizona Bermuda grass fronds, with a tasty side of broadleaf sprouts, delicately sprinkled with fresh spring sunshine.” A la carte, of course – with grapes for dessert.
