Mom´s Next Flowers
The next issue of Nicker Stories is being written – and Mom’s next delivery from Nicker’s Flower of the Month Club is ready. It was my sister’s idea, God bless her sweet and thoughtful heart. The Paperwhite is a variety of narcissus. It comes as a bulb and can be planted in soil, but all it really needs is a place to sit – like in pebbles or marbels – and some water. Even in the Minnesota winter, within a few days a healthy bulb will begin to sprout and inside a month you’ll have fragrant flowers. My sister got the bulbs locally at a nursery. They can also be ordered online. I’ve been talking to the people at easytogrowbulbs.com for the upcoming story. They have suggested another I just HAVE to try. It’s called oxalis triangularis, more commonly called the purple shamrock. Maybe I’ll show you that one tomorrow.
