Warning: People Who Complain (by Bo Sanchez)
One day, I was standing in a long line in the airport. In front of the X-Ray machines, metal detectors, and tired security personnel. Behind me was a balding middle-aged man who had so much anger in his face, a rock would melt under his gaze. He cursed, “F_ck, I can’t stand waiting. This is driving me nuts. Don’t you just hate long lines?” I smiled. My silence was enough to tell him, “You have a choice to be happy or miserable.” Because at that moment, I felt happy. Because I chose to be happy. I was at peace with God and myself and the entire universe. I ride planes a hundred times a year and I’ve long decided never to complain about the long lines. Complaining is useless. Instead, I appreciate the special gifts that long lines give me. Long lines force me to chat with a friend, to read a book, to plan for the next 50 years of my life, to pray, to be totally useless, and to do absolutely nothing. Oh what peace! Don’t complain. I know of some people who complain before the trip begins. By doing so, they “create” the misery that they’ll experience. Because their complaints become self-fulfilling prophecies. That’s just how life works.

Hello Arnel and thank you for viewing, I know when you have time you will pop in to say Howdy!...Your right, not good to mess around with a woman, not if you don´t like surprises..ha-ha.. Now to your topic..Well, we have all complained, I´m sure of that, sometimes we don´t even realize it..I´m guilty and charged! Here in UAE specially..When a system is backwards it causes first inconvenience and then problems begin and then an argue most time. This is why most places have a complaint department. professional people owning and operating any business know that its only ironing out kinks in their system that their business will continue to grow...They welcome idea´s and listen to the complaints and if valid complaints they try to change and make it better..But there should be a respect, no name calling , biting or hand to hand combat, ha-ha...But in general, Bo was right, it will do nothing for you. A line is a line and thats why they call it that, means wait..I have many times met, spoke and made business contacts while waiting, so it was a pure benefit to me but I still don´t enjoy it, specially if its not the time to forget everything and just do nothing!
